We have found that when it comes to portrait sessions with our clients, it can be really difficult for them to choose where they want to do their session. We go the extra mile to make sure that your photos are a stress free experience so when it comes to the details we are here for you!
- What kind of “background” are you looking for?
Do you want your session to be more of a lifestyle feel? Maybe you want to do a session in your home or garden that feels a little more like daily life together as a family. We can turn any part of your home into a background for your favorite family photos.
Do you want more of an urban feel? Maybe you like the downtown or city feel. If that’s more your style, we can offer suggestions for places that we like, or maybe you already have a place in mind
that has some special significance like a first date spot, or one of your favorite downtown areas!
Do you want more of a natural feel? We are lucky to have many different types of natural backdrops nearby such as open fields, forests, mountains, and lakes. We are also open to traveling to do beach shots if that’s what you want. Natural areas tend to be one of our favorites because there are so many gorgeous choices. We have done photo sessions from coast to coast in all types of environments, so we’re up for any adventure.
2. Do you have access to a special area?
Take a moment to think outside the box. Do you have any connections to a special place? Maybe someone you know has a gorgeous horse barn, or access to a private airplane. Maybe you know of a gorgeous flower garden or waterfall. There are so many really cool connections that people have, so it’s something to consider when choosing a background.
3. Do you want a special destination?
Is there a place that is special to you, or that you’ve always loved? We are always up for an adventure with you, in fact we’re on the road quite a bit! Traveling for sessions is always really fun and makes for a great excuse for a weekend away in a place that you love!
4. Are there any special props that you want to add?
Fresh flowers are always a great addition to photos. Maybe you have a special vintage bike or a classic car that you want to incorporate into your photos. If you’re someone who loves to be creative, we’re always open to using your special items to add something unique and personal to your photo session.
No matter what kind of location that you choose, remember the session is about you and remembering this phase of your life.
