Baby Haven’s Newborn Session

Karastan and Zac are so sweet to let us share their story of how Haven came into the world! Karastan did not have an easy pregnancy. When she was about two months away from having Haven, her doctors told her she would need to deliver about three weeks early to keep her baby safe.

“I was in labor for over THIRTY hours! While I was laboring I spiked a fever, so my doctors told me my baby would have to go to the NICU for antibiotics. After Haven was born we spent most of our days and nights at her bedside in the NICU until she was ready to come home. She had such wonderful nurses, and one of them was Kelsey! Kelsey and the other nurses loved on her all day and made us feel so comfortable. We feel so blessed that we were taken care of so well.” –Karastan

Being a NICU nurse I am so lucky to get to care for sweet babies and their families. Being in the Neonatal ICU is like being in a whole new world where everything is tiny. From the smallest blood pressure cuffs, to the tiniest dosages of medicine, everything including our cute patients are tiny. I feel so blessed to get to do this and to get to be a photographer serving kind and loving families like the Nelsons.

Karastan and Zac, Haven is simply beautiful. She already is so blessed to be surrounded by so much love. We love you both so much, and we feel so honored that you have invited us to be part of these precious moments in your life (Karastan and Zacs Maternity Session). We can not wait to watch your family grow! Congratulations on your new little princess!
